SODIUM HYDROXIDE SOLUTION 48–50%

Sodium hydroxide (chemical formula: NaOH; other names: caustic soda, caustic alkali, natron lye, soda lye, [2] caustic soda, lye) is a metallic base belonging to the group of inorganic compounds. When dissolved in water, it forms a strongly alkaline solution. It was first named sodium hydroxide in 1736 by the French scientist Henri Louis Duhamel du Monceau (wd). Due to its strong basic properties, it is widely used in the chemical industry, mainly in the textile and paper industries, and in the production of soaps and detergents.
